About SwimKids USA - Central Florida

Since 1985, we’ve been teaching children of all ages how to swim. Founded by Alan Messing, our swim program offers a variety of courses, from Infant Swimming to Stroke Technique. We’re proud to say that our program is the only one that can guarantee your child will master each skill they learn. Our “Parts” are designed to focus on the basics and then move onto more advanced skills, allowing children to have fun and make progress at the same time. Infant Swim School

Part 1: The parent is in the pool. We will teach water acclimation and begin teaching you how to teach your child how to swim. Part 2: Your child will learn how to swim to the wall from a distance of 5 feet away with you in the pool. Part 3: Your child will learn how to survive a typical drowning situation with the parent in the pool.

Toddler School

Part 1: Your child will be transitioned from working with a parent, to working with a teacher in a class setting. Part 2: Your child will begin to learn how to float on their back. Part 3: Your child will learn to float on their back by themselves and gain confidence in the water.

Basic Swim School

Part 1: Your child will be able to swim and survive a typical drowning situation. Part 2: Your child will learn to float and glide on their stomach and back by themselves. Part 3: Your child will perform each of these skills independently without anyone in the water and gain confidence while swimming.
