About Harry P. Leu Gardens

Welcome to the beautiful 50-acre botanical oasis located minutes away from Downtown Orlando. This garden was donated to the City of Orlando in 1961 by Mr. Harry P. Leu and his wife, Mary Jane, with the mission to inspire visitors to appreciate and understand plants. Here, you can explore the various gardens, each specifically designed to further the garden’s mission. We hope you have a wonderful visit to this incredible oasis. You can roam through the gardens and take in the beauty of the plants and flowers. The garden was specifically designed to encourage visitors to appreciate and understand plants, so take your time to discover the various species. This is a great opportunity to learn something new and to get in touch with nature. Mr. Harry P. Leu and his wife, Mary Jane, donated this garden to the City of Orlando in 1961, and we are forever grateful for their generosity. We hope you take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the oasis and to thank the Leus for making this magical place possible. Enjoy your visit to the botanical oasis!

Summer Camps
A garden inspired Clay and Canvas Camp. Each day we will explore the gardens and its inhabitants with our unique artistic creations. Learn to spin a bowl on the potter’s wheel, sculpt with clay and paint with acrylic paint on canvas. Let beautiful Leu Gardens be the inspiration to create unique works of art!

Nature Nut! Camp
Are you a nature nut? So are we! Explore Leu Gardens to discover many mysteries and marvels about the world of plants, and many creatures that depend of them, including us, of course! We’ll travel to rainforests and deserts and places in between to see what plants grow and what clever things they do to survive. Games, crafts, living projects to take home are all part of the fun. Bring a snack and water bottle.

Full STEAM Ahead Camp!
Leu Gardens and Super Awesome Cool Pottery present a science and art based camp in one! In the mornings discover many wonders of plant and animal sciences with games, hikes, experiments and take home projects. Campers will express their artistic side with projects that complement the mornings’ activities. This camp provides the best of both worlds!

Nature Around the World
Travel the world to explore nature and art with Leu Gardens and Super Awesome Cool Pottery. A new continent will be explored each day to learn about the plants and animals through nature treks, games and activities. Campers will create works of art inspired by the culture on the continents! Bring your lunch, snack and water bottle.
