About Gracie Barra North Orlando BJJ

Our two-story facility located just north of Downtown Orlando is centrally located and perfectly suited for your jiu-jitsu journey. Our classes and training sessions are tailored to the needs of all our students. We offer over 30 classes and training sessions per week, including No-Gi BJJ, Muay Thai and Fitness classes. The focus of our classes is on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, a martial art practiced with the gi, a traditional uniform consisting of a jacket, pants and belt made from durable material. We offer classes for all levels, from the complete beginner to experienced competitors.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU FOR KIDS
Jiu-Jitsu is more than a self defense system. We aim to teach our students not only to defend themselves from bullies but also to instill the key traits of a life time Martial Artist: honor, respect, humility, discipline, and perseverance. At Gracie Barra North Orlando BJJ we help children become the best they can be! We focus on creating a life-changing Kids Martial Arts program that will help our students overcome the many challenges life presents.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU FUNDAMENTALS
Coming into a martial arts academy can be intimidating for the beginning student. Our goal with the fundamentals class is to allow our students to learn jiu-jitsu by focusing on the controlled drilling of techniques without active sparring. The class also serves as a foundation for all students of BJJ, teaching the principles of the art and committing the core movements to muscle memory.

ADVANCED BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
After completing the Fundamentals curriculum, students will have a basic understanding of offensive and defensive techniques utilized in jiu-jitsu. At this point students can continue their growth and development by entering the Advanced BJJ classes, taught by world champion Gustavo “Gutty” Muggiatti. These classes expand on the concepts and techniques introduced during the fundamental learning phase.
