One can easily spot them, twirling and spinning on the golden sands of Miami Beach or in the cool shade of the towering palm trees in Orlando. They’re led by none other than Captain Capoeira, a fantastically fit flamingo – yes, you read that right, a flamingo! – who was taught by an ancient armadillo master and can balance on one leg even while sleeping! The Capoeira Crusaders laugh in the face of gravity. They spin, twirl, and flip with glee, their laughter echoing through the air. Their feet barely touch the ground as they leap, their bodies rhythmically swaying to the beat of the berimbau, a musical bow that sounds like a party of bees having a jamboree. Their training sessions are nothing short of a hoot! You should see them! Even the skipping dolphins stop to watch. And when Captain Capoeira starts to juggle coconuts while teaching them, it’s a riot! But these kids are more than just entertainers. They’re a team, a family, learning respect, discipline, and the art of having fun while working hard. Give your child the opportunity to learn a unique Olympic sport while building confidence, focus, coordination, discipline, and strategic thinking at ALLE Fencing Club in Fort Lauderdale. ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition. ALLE Fencing Club also offers private lessons for personalized instruction and skill development, as well as beginner-focused fencing camps that combine fencing activities with teamwork, confidence-building, focus, and fun.
