About Merritt Island ISR

At Merritt Island ISR, we strive to give children the skills and confidence they need to be safe in water. We are dedicated to providing the best swim instruction possible, and take pride in giving kids the ability to enjoy the aquatic environment. We understand the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 is drowning, which is why we believe early intervention of swim lessons is key to prevention. We take every student's individual needs into account, and offer one-on-one, five day a week lessons that last 10 minutes each. Our program is student-led, so some kids may finish earlier while others may need a bit more time. Regardless of how long it takes, our goal is to give each child life-saving skills along with the confidence and competence to enjoy the water for a lifetime.

Float 6 Months and Older

Students as young as 6 months old will learn how to float independently. They will also learn how to roll into a floating position from several presentations simulating falling into a body of water.

Refreshers To Keep Skills Fresh

All students are recommended to come back for refresher lessons once a year, or as needed, after completing the swim-float-swim sequence. At these young ages, they are growing so fast and we want to make sure that their skills match their bigger bodies throughout the years.
