Viera Soo Bahk Do, established on November 3, 2012, is proud to offer classes in the traditional Korean martial art Soo Bahk Do (Tang Soo Do) Moo Duk Kwan. This martial art was founded by Grandmaster Hwang Kee on November 9, 1945.
Soo Bahk Do (Hand Strike Way) translates as “Hand Strike Way” and signifies the technical side of the martial art. It is a well-rounded, self-defense martial art that promotes values such as discipline, respect, confidence, flexibility, and courage.
At Viera Soo Bahk Do, we strive to teach the fundamentals of Soo Bahk Do in an atmosphere of professionalism and respect. Our classes are designed to provide a comprehensive martial arts program that focuses on three main areas of training: External (technique), Internal (proper breathing, tension & relaxation), and Spiritual (strong intent and confidence). We believe that learning the art of Soo Bahk Do can lead to a better understanding of oneself, and to a more fulfilling and successful life.
