Riverbend Park is an outdoor adventure paradise! With 700 acres of natural area to explore, the park offers a range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking and school programs. The park is home to an array of wildlife, including deer, turkey, bobcats, otters and many species of birds. It also features 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, 7 miles of equestrian trails and 5 miles of canoeing and kayaking trails. With its Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River, Cracker Farmstead and Seminole chickees, Riverbend Park is an ideal spot for families to explore and picnic in Florida's untouched beauty.

*Aquatic Wonderland-Come learn about the health and role of the wetlands in Riverbend Park. Please come prepared* for your feet to get wet as you catch and observe
aquatic organisms! (*Closed toed shoes required)
*Basic Birding-Learn how to use your binoculars to find and get a close up look at birds. Search for birds and use bird guides to learn what markings on birds help identify
them. (Good shoes, water, and a hat are recommended)
*Riverbend’s Reptiles and Amphibians-From frogs to alligators, Riverbend is home to many. Search for while learning why these animals are so important to the ecosystem.
*Flying Flowers-Search for butterflies and learn about their amazing life cycle and about the plants that sustain them. Take a close look at some butterflies and then release them to their natural habitat. (Good shoes, water, and a hat are recommended)
Shaped By Fire-Learn the role that fire has in the ecosystem and how we work with it at Riverbend. Explore some areas that have been recently burned. (Good shoes, water, and a hat are recommended)
Feathered Hunters (Riverbend’s Raptors)-Learn about Riverbend’s raptors and the unique characteristics that make them what they are. Go on a short walk in search of raptors and will take a look at one of our rescued raptors.

PIONEER FARMSTEAD DAY
Spend the day on Riverbend Park’s Turn of the Century Farmstead. Experience what pioneer life was like back then and how technology changed a way of life. Visit the belt driven sawmill and watch sawyers cut and plane logs into boards. Yesteryear Village partners will be onsite to show crafts and riding demonstrations of the period. Make sure to visit the Florida Flywheelers and other exhibitors as well as the animal pens and help press sugar cane. Toys, games and a craft table will be available for kids.
