About Science Eye

Science Eye's Science Safaris provide students with the opportunity to explore science in a way that is engaging and educational. Through hands-on exploration, students gain a better understanding of the scientific process, as well as a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Since 1985, the Science Eye has been helping educators and students across the United States experience science in an exciting, hands-on way. Their Science Safaris offer an immersive simulation of real-life scientific exploration, allowing students to take on a scientist's identity and explore the classroom or field in a unique and engaging way. These programs are designed to be comprehensive, covering an entire area of science or a specific specialty, and can range from a few hours to several weeks. By providing students with the opportunity to explore science in a hands-on way, Science Eye's Science Safaris give them a better understanding of the scientific process and a greater appreciation for the natural world. Through these programs, a half-million students have had the chance to experience science in a thrilling and educational way.

Cultural Science

A unique opportunity for students to learn Native American custom, dance and song by actually doing them in their own classroom! We turn your students into stomping braves and "light as a feather" maidens! Young Indians dance authentic Native American dances within the ceremonial circle. What better way to learn about the "First Americans" than to join in an authentic, simulated pow-wow. We will provide all they need to "look the part" for their dances. When we gather at the outdoor (or indoor) site, young braves will be prepared to take part in the Grass or the Deer Dance, while the maidens will be prepared for the Fancy Shawl or Basket Dance. Original Native American chants and stories will be sung and shared long after we are gone.

Earth Science

A unique opportunity for students to create a COMET! Find out first-hand about these mysterious intergalactic bodies We turn your students into Astronomers who visit our solar system including the Oort Cloud to better understand how a comet is created! What better way to understand comet behavior than a true hands-on experience!

Life Science

An interactive experience which students are bound to “wave” about to their friends and family. They will get an idea of the diversity of our oceans from the small barnacle, to our beach nesting sea turtles, to the top predators…sharks, as well as others in this presentation. So clear your schedules, spread out your beach blanket, and slather on the sunscreen as Barnacle Billie/Billy comes to your class.

Physical and Enginering Science

Putting the E in STEM, this engineering marvel of a program helps our future Civil Engineers make the connections in a team effort to construct the best bridge. Civil engineers learn about the different types of bridges that are utilized every day and which forces act upon them that engineers have to contend with when constructing a bridge. The best part though is taking this knowledge and putting it into practice in this friendly bridge building competition.
