About Tradewinds Park & Stables

Tradewinds Park & Stables is one of the largest and most diverse parks in Broward County. With 625 acres of land, families can enjoy a variety of activities from horseback riding and steam train rides to fishing, disc golf, and playgrounds. The north side of the park has a rural farm setting, where visitors can explore the history of agricultural activities in the area with educational farm tours, pony rides, and horse and junior farmers camps. Plus, the farmhouse museum offers a unique look at the property’s history as it was acquired in 1974 from Margueritte C. McLean’s family, who used the land to breed and raise thoroughbred horses. On the south side of Sample Road, families can take advantage of the athletic fields, as well as the world-famous Butterfly World. Plus, the lake offers fishing opportunities and the disc golf course is a great way to spend some time outdoors while getting some exercise. And don’t forget the playgrounds and picnic areas – perfect for a family outing! There are also rental shelters of various sizes to accommodate any size group. At Tradewinds Park & Stables, families can enjoy a wide range of activities all in one convenient location. Junior Farmers Camp
Still looking for summer plans for your kids? Junior Farmers Camp for youth 5-8 is Mon-Thurs every week June 11 - August 9 except the week of 4th of July. Campers will learn to work with and care for goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, and ride ponies.
