About Flip Flops & Fitness Gymnastics school in Apollo Beach, FL

Bruce Davis, director of Flip Flops and Fitness, began his gymnastics journey at the ripe age of eight. Under the instruction of Walt Lienert at Athenaeum Turners in Indianapolis, Indiana, Bruce went on to compete for Southern Connecticut State University from 1962 to 1965. There, he was coached by Olympians Abie Grossfeld, Muriel Grossfeld, Don Tonry, and Jamile Ashmore, a Pan American Games gold medalist. Following that, Bruce earned his Masters degree from Ohio University in 1966. He then went on to teach and coach at Miami Dade College for 33 years. His most notable accomplishment during this time was coaching the 1969 NJCAA National Champions and winning five consecutive NAIGC Men's Championships from 1993 to 1997.

Programs at Flip Flops & Fitness Gymnastics school in Apollo Beach, FL

Gymnastics and Tumbling Classes

The gymnastics and tumbling classes are fifty-minutes long and include approximately 10 minutes of warm-up and stretching exercises, 30 minutes of instruction, and 10 minutes of strength exercises. Classes are scheduled on the hour on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3PM to 9PM. There are no Friday or Saturday classes.
