For many years, the Delaware Swim School has been the go-to institution for countless children and adults seeking to learn how to swim. We understand that the first dip can be overwhelming and nerve-wracking. That's where we come in. We aim to turn these feelings of fear and anxiety into feelings of trust and security. Our ultimate goal is to help every individual we teach develop a deep love and appreciation for the water. Here at Delaware Swim School, we view teaching swimming as more than just a job - it's a gift we're thrilled to share with everyone. To make this gift even more special, we employ the "Love and Logic" approach, an effective technique pioneered by Jim Fay and David Funk. This method helps us foster strong, positive relationships not only with our young learners but their parents as well. With a nurturing environment full of patience and love, we help children build trust and security within themselves, their instructors, and the water. We empower our little swimmers by giving them choices, which in turn boosts their self-esteem. We believe in equipping children with the knowledge they need to swim, but ultimately they must choose to apply it. Regardless of their performance, we hold each child in high regard, treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve.
