In the magical northeastern corner of the United States, there lies a whimsically wonderful place known as Connecticut, or as our cool imaginary friend, Chef Cheddar Chomp, likes to call it, "Cookie-ticut". This enchanting state is packed with charm, from its sandy coastal towns to its forest-covered hills. It’s as if Mother Nature herself took a paintbrush and delicately dabbed every possible shade of green on a canvas. Now let's talk about the real heroes of Cookie-ticut, the kids who've committed themselves to the noble cause of cooking. They’re not just any ordinary youngsters, oh no! They’re culinary wizards, armed with wooden spoons, aprons and an adventurous spirit. When they step into the kitchen, even Chef Cheddar Chomp has to tip his cheese-shaped hat in respect. Deep in their secret cookie laboratories, they concoct concoctions of all colors and flavors. They whip up fluffy pancakes large enough to be used as flying carpets and bake cookies that could bring a smile to a grumpy troll. They stir stews with a flick of their wrists and a sparkle in their eyes, making broths so delicious that even the pickiest fairy would approve. In the magical land of Cookie-ticut, the kitchen is their battlefield, the oven is their dragon and the cookbook, their spell-book. And the best part? They're always ready for another taste-venture. So, next time you hear a giggle followed by the aroma of something delicious, remember, it’s just the kids of Cookie-ticut, cooking up another delightful storm. As Chef Cheddar Chomp always says, "In Cookie-ticut, every bite is an adventure!"

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

At the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, we want to make sure that everyone has access to food that is grown and cooked well. We aim to preserve and celebrate the cultural and culinary heritage that is unique to our community, and we believe that by teaching people how to cook and share meals, we can build strong relationships and foster a vibrant culture. We offer a variety of programs to help spread our message. We have professional development classes for teachers, cooking classes and workshops for both children and adults, and we even provide workshops and field trips to school groups. Our goal is to create a space where everyone can enjoy and appreciate good food and the craft of cooking. We strive to provide educational programming that will educate people about the importance of celebrating and valuing the food we eat and the culture that it comes from.
