About Grace Farms, CT

Grace Farms is free and open to the public six days a week, offering visitors of all ages the chance to explore the many outdoor and indoor activities available. Since opening in 2015, Grace Farms has been home to stunning nature trails, lush meadows, and a variety of wildlife habitats, encouraging people to explore and reflect. At Grace Farms, we believe that everything is interconnected. We strive to bring peace and grace to our local and global communities. To that end, the Grace Farms Foundation has a comprehensive, interdisciplinary mission: to pursue peace through nature, arts, justice, community, faith, and Design for Freedom. Design for Freedom is a new movement to remove forced labor from the built environment. By exploring the outdoor and indoor activities available at Grace Farms, visitors can help us in our mission to create a society free from modern slavery and gender-based violence. At Grace Farms, we strive to give everyone the chance to explore the natural beauty of our grounds and take part in our mission to create peace in our global community. With nature trails, restored meadows, and a diverse natural habitat, visitors of all ages are invited to explore and reflect. Our Foundation works through Grace Farms and its interdisciplinary humanitarian mission to pursue peace through nature, arts, justice, community, faith, and Design for Freedom. We are committed to creating a more gracious and peaceful world, and by visiting Grace Farms, you can be a part of that mission.

Families discover the SANAA-designed River building at Grace Farms through activities that explore color, light, line, movement, rhythm, shape, sound, space, and texture.

As part of Grace Farms Foundation’s signature Arts Initiative program, Practicing, creative families with children ages 3 through 10, were invited to explore joy through imagination-driven, child-directed, unstructured play.
