Lutz Children's Museum

The Lutz Children’s Museum was founded by a teacher, Hazel Lutz, to provide educational resources to families and schools. We remain committed to her vision of providing hands-on learning opportunities that prepare students for academic success. We consider teachers to be our customers, our partners, and our friends. Many of our programs come from your suggestions. Grant funding is sometimes available to defray the cost of programs. The Lutz Children’s Museum is a real museum designed just for children. They may only see the play and fun, but professional museum curators have planned these activities carefully. These experiences promote a love of learning and thirst for knowledge and the skills learned here will help children to be more successful in school and in life. Museum teaching methods focus on self-discovery and exploration. Real museum artifacts or live animals are integrated into almost every program giving children the opportunity to experience the world first hand. Concerts and trips give young learners the chance to see arts and culture up close and to develop their own tastes and appreciation.
