For 65 years, Richard William Donohue has been providing students of all levels with quality music lessons. Whether it’s Piano, Voice, Organ, or Music Theory, Mr. Donohue has it covered. He offers 30-minute lessons seven days a week, allowing parents to easily find a time that works for them and their child. In addition to being a masterful teacher, Mr. Donohue is also a dedicated choir director. He has a close connection to the New England Chamber Choir and Saint Peter Church Choir in Higganum. If your child is interested in choral singing, Mr. Donohue is the ideal teacher to help them reach their potential.

BeAKid
Piano
Beginner piano lessons are taught at the pace of the individual student and most often employ either the John W. Schaum or John Thompson methods. Technical exercises such as Schaum's Finger Power series are used to develop the student's finger strength as well as major scales taught in contrary and parallel motion and arpeggios (chords).

Voice
For other early voice students, repertoire is drawn from books such as 56 Songs You Like to Sing and the Art Song which include songs in several languages. To emphasise proper breathing techniques and vowel and consonant diction, technical methods auch as Sieber, Vaccai, and Ponofka are introduced as well as various vocal excersises.
