About Shadow Ranch Recreation Center

We are the Department of Recreation and Parks, stewards to over 16,000 acres of parkland, offering extensive recreational, social and cultural programs at 559 park sites in every Los Angeles neighborhood from the valley to the sea. We are proud to be one of the City’s most comprehensive social service providers, offering an array of diverse, interesting and comprehensive recreational programs to serve youth, adults and seniors.

PRE-SCHOOL AGE LICENSED CHILD CARE CENTERS
The goal of RAP’s State Licensed Preschool Program is to provide a safe, caring, and academically challenging environment in which preschool children may develop their self esteem, creativity, learning, and social skills through the use of age-appropriate activities and materials. We have highly qualified teachers that apply best practices for children’s growth and development. Our teachers are required to obtain a Children’s Center Permit from the State of California Teaching Credentialing Division. Our Licensed Preschool Program provides full day and half day care for preschool children ages 2 years to entry into first grade.
