Clay Studio + Gallery Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA is the perfect place to spend a creative afternoon. With two formally trained artists, Esther and Ali Alinejad, Clay Studio offers a variety of classes for all ages. Esther has been teaching for 30 years, and holds a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from the University of Arizona. Ali holds a BFA from the University of Paris, France VIII. At Clay Studio, classes are offered for adults, children/teens, and private classes. This supportive and non-competitive atmosphere is sure to bring out everyone's inner artist. Learn the basics of pottery wheel throwing and hand building with clay. Or, take a more advanced class to hone your skills. In addition to classes, Clay Studio also houses a gallery space. Here, visitors can find a variety of sculptural artwork, functional ceramics, and Esther's paintings upon request. So, come clay with us and experience the joy of creating with your hands!

Summer Camp

Clay Studio + Gallery Inc. offers a three- week Summer Pottery Camp for kids for ages 9-16. Students attend two, two and a half hour classes per week for a full, three-week session. The Summer Camp meets twice a week on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30-12:00.

Kids Classes

Clay Studio and Gallery has a number of different learning options to suit your needs and schedule. The most common option is the Monthly Class Format where you can choose to come for four consecutive Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. We also teach private lessons, assist in ceramic studio set up, and we repair kilns.
