About Peninsula Sports Camps

For over 45 years, the Peninsula Sports Camps have been providing education and instruction to more than 90,000 young athletes. Tom Maier, the camp director and one of the South Bay’s most prominent basketball coaches, has 730 wins and 4 CIF titles under his belt. His master’s degree from USC in physical education with a specialty in sports administration means he is the ideal candidate to lead athletes to self-improvement. Coach Maier’s credentials include Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Chadwick School (27 years), Redondo Union High School (12 years) and Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes for 5 years. The Peninsula Sports Camps are run by three outstanding coaches: Tom Maier (Peninsula Basketball Camp), Bruce Myhre (Peninsula Soccer Camp) and Chad Nammack (Peninsula Baseball Camp). These experienced coaches are supported by a team of professional speakers who help to make Peninsula Sports Camps one of the best camps in Southern California. With 45 years of experience and 90,000 athletes, there is no better place to encourage athletes to reach for their highest potential.

Spring Soccer Camp
The Peninsula Soccer Camp is launching its Spring 1/2 day program with lots of fun and games for soccer loving boys and girls, 5-12 years old. We offer 3 hours of instruction per day, for five days .We emphasize all the basic skills and the pure enjoyment of playing soccer through a variety of fun games. Players should bring their own soccer ball; they must wear soccer shoes, shin guards, shorts and a shirt and bring sunscreen and some snacks. Please let us know about medication or medical information. Medical insurance is required by each camper to attend the camp. A supplementary policy only is in effect.

Summer Basketball Camps
The Peninsula Basketball Camp offers an all girl’s section July 17-21 and July 24-28. Outstanding coaches help these young athletes build confidence, skill and knowledge of the game. The girls will play against each other.
