In the balmy California mornings, as the sun peeks over the horizon, the Kaya-kids gather at the edge of serene lakes, rivers that twist and turn like a roller coaster, and the grinning mouth of the mighty Pacific Ocean. With one foot firmly planted on their colorful kayaks, the Kaya-kids would pull on their neon life-vests, slap on their sunblock, adjust their superhero-inspired goggles, and burst into a chorus of laughter before pushing off into the water. Whether they're breaking free from the foamy jaws of a wild wave, navigating the peaceful paths of a lazy river, or having an epic splash war in a calm lake, these Californian Kaya-kids are the heart and soul of this wild adventure called kayaking. Give your child the opportunity to learn a unique Olympic sport while building confidence, focus, coordination, discipline, and strategic thinking at ALLE Fencing Club in Fort Lauderdale. ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition. ALLE Fencing Club also offers private lessons for personalized instruction and skill development, as well as beginner-focused fencing camps that combine fencing activities with teamwork, confidence-building, focus, and fun.
Camp Butano Creek, owned and operated by the Girl Scouts of Northern California, is the perfect spot for budding adventurers. From the Pacific coastline to the coastal mountains, there are plenty of exciting activities to choose from, such as: surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, horseback riding and field archery. Plus, campers in their 11th grade have the chance to take part in our Counselor-In-Training program.
