About Xavier College Preparatory High School

In the summer of 2006, Xavier College Preparatory opened its doors for the first time to 65 freshmen. The school was designed for a maximum of 300 students and the goal was to grow one grade per year until reaching the maximum. The school has since grown to its maximum capacity, and we are proud to report that the school is highly regarded as one of the best private high schools in the Coachella Valley. In 1999, a group of local parents determined to give high schoolers in the Coachella Valley access to great education, set out to create their own school. Securing a 501(c)(3) status and 96 acres of land donated by the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation in 2004, Xavier College Preparatory was ready to go. Community members and snowbirds alike lent their support to the project, with many contributing to the cause financially. The school opened its doors in the summer of 2006, and quickly grew to its maximum capacity of 300 students. It has since become a highly respected institution in the Coachella Valley, with many of its graduates going on to attend some of the most prestigious universities in the country. Xavier College Preparatory remains committed to providing a quality education to students in the Coachella Valley, and continues to be an important part of the local community. The school showcases the power of grassroots action and the impact of local support.
