At TheCoderSchool Mission Viejo, we understand the importance of coding for kids aged 6 and above. That's why we offer both in-person and remote weekly coding classes with our low student-to-coach ratio (2:1) to ensure quality instruction. Our project-based coding lessons are custom-made to engage your student's interests and allow them to learn at their own pace. Kids can explore the variety of coding topics, from Scratch, Python, and C++ to Unity, Java, HTML, and Javascript. Not to mention, they can also learn about Minecraft, Roblox, Raspberry Pi, AI, app development, and more. Coding takes practice, and we believe getting kids to code consistently throughout the year is the only way they'll really learn to code. theCoderSchool has a staff of hundreds of Code Coaches all around the country, so we know a thing or two about mentoring students in computer science. That's why our after-school coding classes for kids revolve around this relationship, providing a long-term mentor in a Code Coach to teach kids to code, from someone who's an expert coder themselves.

Python Startup
We don't have a pet snake for our schools, so we'll settle for introducing you to Python, one of the most popular coding languages today. Start slowly or code fast, this camp is for our intermediate coders - no Python experience necessary!

Roblox Play
Kids LOVE Roblox! Using Roblox Studio we will be teaching the kids how to write code in the Lua programming language that will allow them to create their own players, environments and mini games! We will also teach them about game design theory which makes games challenging and adds the element of fun that keeps players coming back again and again! Window or Mac laptop needed.
