For over 45 years, Sierra Canyon Day Camp has been providing a safe and fun environment for children to enjoy summer camp. With ACA accreditation, parents can be sure that their children are receiving the highest level of care and instruction during their camp experience. Sierra Canyon Day Camp is a place where children can make lifelong friendships and memories. Campers are grouped according to grade level, with each group supervised by knowledgeable and caring counselors. To make sure children can connect with at least one friend, the camp only accepts one friend request per grade. The camp is divided into two units, with Unit 1 offering activities for pre-K to second grade, and Unit 2 for third grade and above, as well as specialty camps like Sports World. Sierra Canyon has been providing a safe and enjoyable environment for children to experience the joys of summer camp for nearly five decades. With ACA accreditation, parents can rest assured that their children are receiving the highest level of care and instruction during their camp experience.

DAY CAMP PROGRAM

Available to children ages 4-14. Our regular summer camp program begins at 9:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. Complimentary supervision will be provided before day camp from 9:00 AM to 9:30AM and after camp from 3:30PM to 4:30 PM.

SPORTS WORLD PROGRAM

The Sierra Canyon Sports World is an addition to the flourishing Sierra Canyon Day Camp and aims to provide an array of sports, recreational activities, different from those offered at the Day Camp to students who “just want to play”. The SC Sports World will provide a full day of fun, structured, competitive, incentive, and most importantly safe activities for boys and girls as young as entering the third grade (8-9 years of age) and as old as entering the 8th grade (12-13 years of age). This new sports camp program will include all of the resources Sierra Canyon has to offer, including the Lower Campus athletic fields, pool and large aquatic slide as well as the state of the art Upper Campus gymnasium.

DANCE CAMP PROGRAM

Sierra Canyon’s Dance Camp provides a new and exciting element to the already fun-packed day camp experience. SC Dance Camp is open to all levels of dancers, beginning to advanced, for campers entering 1st grade and above. From classical ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary dance, this specialty camp is designed to expand any dancer’s repertoire while giving them the freedom to explore their own creativity. Dance Camp starts in Sierra Canyon’s’ state of the art’ Performing Arts Studio furnished with a proper floor and mirrors. The day begins with a yoga exercise to get dancers in the right frame of mind followed by a full warm-up of stretching, strengthening and technique. After warm-ups, campers will learn choreography, dance theory and have opportunities to create their own choreography pertaining to that week’s style of dance. At the end of each day, Dance camp will enjoy a dip in one of Sierra’s two large swimming pools and have the chance to ride our three-story water slide! On Fridays, the dancers will share what they have worked on all week during Unit 1 and Unit 2’s closing circles. Dance Camp will provide a day of creativity, physical and mental exercise, and a bonding experience like no other.

ADVENTURE & TEEN CAMP PROGRAMS

Are you ready to take camp to the next level? Offsite outings to Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Hurricane Harbor, Universal Studios, miniature golfing, California beaches, laser tag, indoor go-karting and bowling (to name just a few). Adventure Camp (4th - 6th Grades) and Teen Camp (7th - 9th Grades) take the Sierra Canyon experience to destinations across all of southern California. Camp hours are the same as our Day Camp program (9:30am – 3:30pm) with a few ‘late arrival’ days (typically on Wednesdays) for special trips.
