The Challenger Learning Center of Alaska is part of an international network of more than 40 Challenger Learning Centers spearheaded by Challenger Center. Founded in 1986, Challenger Center was created to honor the crew of shuttle flight STS-51L and its mission to provide students with a hands-on, space-themed learning experience that encourages exploration and discovery of STEM subjects.
