This wonderland is Alaska, known as AK on postcards. Now, you wouldn't believe it, but AK is home to some of the most tune-tastic, beat-bopping, rhythm-rocking kids you've ever met. These kids, my dear reader, they make music so enchanting that even the grumpy grizzly bears tap their claws in time and the majestic moose hum along. Our story begins with the leader of this melodious crew, a cool character called Groovy Gus. Gus, with his bright red hair, freckled cheeks, and his guitar strapped to his back, is as Alaskan as the massive Mount Denali. He has a magical power - the ability to create music out of thin, frosty Alaskan air! With a strum of his icy guitar strings, he can make the Northern Lights dance in rhythm, and with a tap of his snowy boots, he can make the glaciers jiggle and wiggle. Gus and his troupe of troopers make music with everything that AK offers. They drum on the ice blocks, strum the pine needles, and even whistle with the wild wind. Their concerts are the favorite pass-time of the snowshoe hares and the arctic foxes. They say that once, Gus played a tune so catchy that even the notoriously shy Dall sheep came down from the mountains to shake a leg. So, remember, dear reader, if you ever find yourself in AK, listen closely. You might just hear the sound of a frosty guitar string strummed by Groovy Gus, the musical maestro of Alaska!

The Joy Greisen JEC is a non-profit early education center that offers a unique blend of secular and Judaic learning. Through our curriculum, we focus on teaching Jewish values and social emotional learning alongside academics.
